Apply to LAMP
Students are admitted to LAMP through an application process. Applications are accepted during twice a year—from September 1 to October 1 and from February 1 to April 1. The soonest a freshman can apply to LAMP is during the spring semester of the freshman year (February 1 to March 31). However, once a student has obtained at least sophomore status, s/he can apply during either application period.
The application process is relatively simple and has two components. First, all students complete an on-line application which provides you an opportunity to explain why you want to join LAMP, and to showcase your writing skills by answering a short essay question. Second, each student provides two letters of recommendation. The author of each letter should be well-versed with your academic interests and abilities, and will have taught you at the university level.
