Recording Assignment Instruction
Instruction for recording your own voice and creating audio files:
To access the Language Lab Media Server in Ballantine Hall (BH) 115 or 117:
- (Click "Start" and) right-click "Computer" to see "Map network Drive"
- Clikc on "Map network Drive"
- In "Folder" box, enter \\bl-llab-media1\collect$
- Click on "Finish"
Now you will have that drive available as another drive on your computer.
To record:
- Browse through and find Korean folder in the Media1 Server "collect$ on bl-llab-media1", double-click-open Korean, and then find the course folder (e.g. K101), and then the folder for a given assignment (e.g., Ex#1)
- Find the assignment file and double-click-open. This will open Sanako audio recorder automatically.
- If Sanako does not open automatically, double click on the "Sanako Media Assistant Duo" icon to start the digital recorder (works like a tape recorder).
- Put headset on and click on red "Speak" button on recorder panel, record your voice.
- Press "Stop" to end recording.
To save:
- Click on "File" in the Sanako Menu bar, and click-select (clikc on) "Save as"
- Browse through and find Korean folder in the Media1 Server "collect$ on bl-llab-media1", double-click-open Korean, and then find the course folder (e.g. K101), and then the folder for a given assignment (e.g., Ex#1)
- Enter your Last name as file name" and selet "mp3 file " under "Save as type"
- Click "Save"
You have now completed your recording.
