Kappa Deltas participate in helping the community year-round.  Our primary philanthropy is the Shamrock Event which benefits Prevent Child Abuse and Bloomington's Middle Way house.  We also participate with local Girl Scouts of America chapters around the Bloomington area.

Over the years, our chapter has hosted different events for Shamrock.  Recently, we have held a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament, where all proceeds are contributed towards Prevent Child Abuse America.  For the past couple of years, this has been a huge success!

Kappa Deltas enjoy working with the local girl scout troops.  Each year, our chapter enjoys numerous activities involving local troops in the Bloomington area. We invite them over for fun workshops to help them earn badges and also take them on campus tours, as well as invite them over for dinner and house tours.  We also enjoy helping them sell Girl Scout Cookies!

Indiana University Dance Marathon (IUDM) was established to memorialize the courageous life and efforts of Ryan White.  Today, IUDM gives Kappa Deltas, Indiana students, and community members an opportunity to support those in need at Riley Hospital for Children with a 36-hour, sleepless marathon full of activities, interactions with Riley kids, stories from Riley families, and bonding among our members.
