Activity 2: Developing a PBIS

IDEA emphasizes the development of behavioral supports that shift in focus from reactive and punitive to proactive and positive. It is the intention of the law that the PBIS plans ameliorate the problem behavior in question (the one for which the manifestation determination is conducted) and which is interfering with his or her learning.

Curtis, Mather, and Rutherford (2002) provide step-by-step approach to developing behavioral intervention plans.
