^wfeghelpnosmcl.sthlp^: Sample of a help file not using smcl \ 2008-11-18 .- This file can be used as a dummy file for creating your own help file without using the powerful (and sometimes confusing) features of SMCL (Stata's Markup and Control Language). Notice that help files that do not use SMCL will NOT automatically wrap lines. So, I suggest keeping your lines to be of length 80 or less. ^To created a header^ ------------------- A word enclosed in the carrot symbol (the symbol used for supercripting in latex or for raising numbers to a power in Stata), will appear ^bold^. The only other feature used in this simple help file is a period followed by a dash. This will create a line of dashes from the left margin to the right margin. As long as you remember to wrap your lines, these files are quick and easy to create without knowing SMCL. .- Author: Scott Long - www.indiana.edu/~jslsoc/workflow.htm
