Research Areas

    I study topics in visual design for interactive information and instruction, specifically the design of icons and other graphical elements for representing information. I am also interested in design process and methods, including those used to develop information systems and those used to teach other designers.

    In 2000/2001 I directed several service learning projects connecting students to campus and community organizations in need of instructional product development, including:
