Jill Cheatham

Year: Senior

Major: Vocal Performance

Years in LF: 1

Hometown: Seattle, WA

Future plans: I’m currently applying to graduate school where I plan on continue my studies in opera. My dream is to sing at The Met and La Scala.

Favorite LF memory/ thing youre looking forward to: My favorite memory is our spring concert in 2006 at the IU Auditorium. I had such a good time singing and performing with some all of the girls. We worked so hard all year so that when the time came for the concert, we were able to just have fun and enjoy ourselves. I think it was one of the best performance experiences I’ve ever had.

Musical Inspirations: Both of my teachers at IU, Patricia Stiles and Patricia Wise have been wonderful role models. They both have helped mold me into the singer I am today. Also, the other girls will always inspire me. They all work so hard and are involved in so many other things on campus yet they still make time to put one-hundred percent into each rehearsal and performance – they never cease to amaze me.
=)

Three things everyone should know about me:

1) Family absolutely comes first

2) Brownie mix is my kryptonite

3) I love anime – shameful, I know

Favorite quote(s):

“Whatever, I do what I want.”
