Overview

Version 3.01 is a minor release of the IUIE application including functional enhancements and a few minor bug fixes. The most important enhancements include the increased speed of loading the report object catalog in the Master Catalog and the sorting of objects in My Catalog. These changes, other important enhancements, and bug fixes are summarized below.

Master Catalog

The loading of the report object tree in the Master Catalog has been sped up significantly by rewriting the code behind it.
The ability to sort report objects in the Master Catalog by Campus and Owner has been removed because the functionality was used very little and will be replaced by a Search function in the next release of IUIE.
A feature implemented in the last major release, saving report object settings/parameters, has been implemented for more types of report objects (those using the Reports Viewer). The functionality works the same as for other report objects - after entering your desired settings in a particular report object, clicking on the "Save..." button allows you to create a shortcut in your personal catalog that you can use to access that report object with the settings you saved. You can give a personalized name to each of these saved forms and you can save multiple versions of settings for the same report object.
Links have been added to several types of report objects (Data Extract, Data Extract Templates, and Pre-Defined Queries) that bring up security information for that data based on the user's access.

Admin

The Update User Account page has been enhanced to allow querying of the user list by name.
New pages were added to view, add, update, and remove the access groups that a user belongs to.
Another new page was added: Edit Publishing Group.

Other Enhancements

Bug Fixes

  1. The browser checker program now correctly identifies the browser version number that the user is using to access the IUIE. Also, if the browser is identified as one that is not recommended, a warning will be displayed but the user will still be able to access the IUIE.
  2. When user groups are added to a security group, they are removed from the list of possible user groups to add.
  3. If the security strings are left blank for a security group, the entered data is no longer lost after the warning messages.
  4. In Publish, the copy function for PDQs and Templates was fixed so that it no longer looks for security access information before copying (since their security is now based on the underlying datagroup).
