What is the Indiana Mathematics Initiative?

The Indiana Mathematics Initiative, funded ($10 million) since 1997 by the National Science Foundation, is a consortium of urban school districts committed to providing its nine member districts with the resources to meet state and federal mandates to implement best practices of mathematics teaching and learning in all nine district classrooms.

The following Indiana school districts comprise the IMI Consortium:
Anderson Community Schools
Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation
MSD of Decatur Township
School City of East Chicago
Elkhart Community Schools
Fort Wayne Community Schools
School City of Hammond
MSD of Pike Township
Vigo County Schools
