International Shepherd Team
Bridges at IU has a variety of resources for students at varying levels of schooling and various backgrounds. We seek to help students meet their practical physical needs as well as their spiritual needs. Our prayer is that people across the globe would be impacted by the gospel because of what God does here at IU.
There are basically two ways to get involved:
SPEAK:
Our desire with SPEAK is that International students would be able to practice their English, engage with American students and learn about American culture, develop friendships, adjust to life in America, and discuss spiritual issues. We also believe that God's heart is for all people everywhere, and we desire to share Jesus Christ with other people. So we desire to provide a place for people to learn more about Christ or grow in their relationship with God if they desire too. You can come attend and contribute to the discussion!
Conversation Partners:
The Conversation partner program has been designed in order to help students develop English conversation skills. It is also a place for them to learn more about American culture. Our desire is that this would be a place for friendships to be developed and mutual learning to occur. You will meet once a week for an hour with your International Conversation partner.
