Foreign Language Content Requirements (Secondary Education)

II CONTENT FIELD: FORIEGN LANGUAGE  (36-39 credits)

All foreign language teaching majors require the completion of a minimum of 36 credit hours, including 30 hours in 300 and 400 level courses. No course below the 200 level will count toward completion of the major.

During EDUC M445 Methods of Teaching, Foreign Language majors must take a departmental proficiency examination that tests oral or written proficiency. The examination may be taken more than once, but it must be passed before the student can be admitted to student teaching. See an advisor for further information.
