— The National Endowment for the Humanities Announces Internships for Summer 2002

The National Endowment for the Humanities invites applications for internships to be held in Washington D.C.
during summer 2002. College students who will be entering their junior
or senior year in fall 2002 are eligible to apply. NEH interns receive
stipends of $4,000 for 10 weeks of work. Applicants must be U.S.
citizens; foreign nationals who have been legal residents in the United
States for at least 3 years; or territorial residents of Puerto Rico,
the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, or the Commonwealth of the
Northern Mariana Islands. The Endowment anticipates awarding up to
twelve internships to students interested in deepening their
understanding of human history, language and culture and of the nature
and reasons for public investment in the humanities.
