The Honors College extends a warm welcome to all of you, and especially to new members of the IU community.
Several new programs have been implemented or expanded in recent months: our Honors Residential Community in Forest Quad; our Community Service Activities; our Student Mentoring Program; our numerous curricular and extra-curricular offerings; and our newly funded International Experience Program-to name a few. Please keep a sharp eye out for announcements related to the above opportunities and for other Honors College initiatives which have been tailored to meet your needs and to expand your intellectual and cultural horizons. As some of you know, I am especially fond of the sentiments of a recent graduate who described the Honors College as a deep and inexhaustible treasure chest. Hyperbolic as this language may be, I believe it makes a relevant point, and I urge you to open that chest and grab the jewels.
