 —  The Rap Canterbury Tales

A Performance of The Rap Canterbury Tales

By Canadian Rap Artist and Chaucer Scholar Baba Brinkman

April 1, 2009

This unique evening featured a performance of The Rap Canterbury Tales by Baba Brinkman, a Canadian rapper with a master's degree in medieval studies. After rapping the tales of the Pardoner, the Miller, and the Wife of Bath and explaining the parallels he perceives between Chaucer's poetry and rap music, Brinkman joined members of the audience for a reception at the Hutton Honors College. Brinkman's performance was co-sponsored by the Department of English, the Hutton Honors College, the Medieval Studies Institute, and the Renaissance Studies Program.
