Join Natalia Deeb-Sossa and Matt Ezzell for an informal discussion of their work on the impact of mainstream advertising and pornography on our society and on us as individuals. Also participating will be Douglas Hofstadter, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, College Professor of Cognitive Science and Computer Science, and director of the IU Center for Research on Concepts and Cognition. Professor Hofstadter's work includes research on what our language reveals about the ideas and stereotypes we have of each other. The supper is co-sponsored by the Honors College and the Wells program. IU undergraduates are welcome to sign up for the discussion supper even if they are unable to attend the afternoon talk.

Natalia Deeb-Sossa and Matt Ezzell will give a public presentation at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 in Whittenberger Auditorium (IMU).
