Hutton Honors College
— Interview Skills Workshop
Putting Your Best "You" Forward — An Interview Skills Workshop
Note: You may sign up for this program and an additional "first choice" program. See sign-up procedures for details. Securing a job, an internship, admission to graduate school, or a major scholarship often requires an interview. Do you know how to present yourself effectively? Successfully? This workshop is designed to help you prepare by identifying the key aspects of an interview, what employers, graduate and professional schools, and scholarship committees look and listen for when they interview applicants, and how to dress for success. The program will also offer participants the opportunity to practice what they have learned, both by participating in and by critiquing mock interviews. Learn how to communicate who you are, to give yourself the best opportunity to get the job, the internship, or the scholarship. This workshop will be presented by Caroline Dowd-Higgins, senior assistant director of IU's Career Development Center.
