Empower yourself with confidence
Come hear Peggy Klaus, president of Klaus & Associates, challenge the
view that it is impolite to brag. Author of the book BRAG! The Art of
Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It, Peggy Klaus has been a
communication and leadership consultant to executives in America's leading
Fortune 500 companies for more than ten years.
In her seminars, she tells her pupils that in the competitive world of
work, bragging is a necessity and life is filled with opportunities to
promote your abilities and open doors for future opportunities, without
sounding obnoxious or rehearsed. Her interactive approach is designed to
help individuals market their strengths and embrace their skills with
confidence in the work place, their careers, and life.
To see some of her tips, visit her
website.
Following the lecture, there will be a book signing leading into a
networking reception in the University Club (First Floor, IMU). The
reception is also open to all, but please RSVP via www.IUCareers.com.
The visit of Peggy Klaus has been organized by a student steering
committee with the support of the Career Development Center/Arts &
Sciences Career Services. The Hutton Honors College is among the
co-sponsors.
