More Student Spotlights

Why IU: Indiana University stood out because of its affordable tuition, excellent business program, world-class facilities, convenient living environment, and the beautiful campus.

Favorite part of IU: I love how Bloomington is a big college town in a small area. There is everything that I need. It’s exciting because when you think you have seen everything that Indiana University has, you will find something more! Also, because the campus is so safe and it feels like home, I can focus better on studying.

Best IU experience/memory: Last spring, Ernst & Young came to the Kelley School of Business to donate funds to support diversity, and I got to meet its CEO, James Turley. I was very excited to be at such a historic moment for the school, and it was amazing to listen to him speak about the current state of the economy and what we students, as future leaders, should learn from the circumstances.

Favorite IU events: I enjoy going to culture nights that different ethnic student organizations put together. Students are exposed to so many different cultures that by the time they graduate, they have become global citizens and are internationally minded.

Best place to hang out with friends: If you want to eat out, there are many different ethnic restaurants, such as Korean, Thai, Indian, and Russian. I also like to hang out with my friends in the common lounge at my dorm since I feel most comfy there and go to free movies at the Union.

Favorite thing to do in Bloomington: I like to walk through town late at night with friends while drinking a cup of coffee from Starbucks and observing other students.
