The Indiana University-Moi University Faculty of Health Sciences (IU-MUFHS)
program is a long-term collaborative educational project funded from
both internal and external sources. The goals include enhancement of
medical education at both institutions, promotion of collegial
relationships between American and Kenyan medical doctors and students,
and the development of health care leaders in Kenya and the United
States. The program maintains a strong focus on training medical
practitioners for rural settings and on HIV/AIDS treatment and
prevention. The partnership helps satisfy Moi University's need for
additional academic instructors while also creating new professional
opportunities for medical faculty, staff, and students.
The primary contact at IU for this program is Dr. Robert Einterz
(Robert Einterz; Tel:
317-630-6455).
