Welcome to the homepage for the International Public Service Motivation Research Conference. The conference convenes from June 7-9, 2009 on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington. We anticipate welcoming scholars from five continents and more than fifteen countries.
The conference will bring together international scholars conducting research about public service motivation, altruism, and related ideas. The purpose of the conference is twofold. First, we want to convene the growing group of international scholars for an international dialog about public service motivation research. Second, we intend to use the conference to stimulate the next generation of research about public service motivation.
The conference is co-sponsored by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA)Indiana University, Bloomington and the Public Management Institute, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium. Chancellor’s Professor James Perry is the IU Bloomington-based organizer; Professor Annie Hondeghem represents The Public Management Institute.
Early June is a beautiful time of the year in Bloomington. We look forward to hosting scholars from around the world for what we anticipate will be an intellectually stimulating and rewarding gathering.
