HONORS COLLEGE GRANT PROGRAM
(You don't need to be an Honors student to apply.) Check especially grants offered by The Edward L. Hutton International Experiences Program
THOMAS R. PICKERING UNDERGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP
This award funded by the U.S. Department of State includes tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees during the junior and senior years of college and during the first year of graduate study with reimbursement for books and one round-trip travel. Winners commit to graduate education and post-graduate Foreign Service.
THE NATIONAL SECURITY EDUCATION PROGRAM DAVID L. BOREN SCHOLARSHIPS
This award funds study abroad to nontraditional places. A campus deadline (usually January) falls approximately one month before the national deadline (usually February). Contact the Office of Overseas Study (overseas@indiana.edu) for information. Winners commit to post-graduate government service.
General Funding
JESSE H. & BEULAH CHANLEY COX SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship covers between 50 and 75 percent of the yearly cost of IU attendance. Recipients are Indiana students who work part-time to fund their college education. Application due in August.
NATIONAL SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS ACCESS TO RETAIN TALENT GRANT (National SMART Grant)
The National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant, also known as the National Smart Grant is available during the third and fourth years of undergraduate study (or fifth year of a five-year program) to at least half-time students who are eligible for the Federal Pell grant and who are majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering or a critical foreign language. Note: Languages that qualify for this grant vary from year to year.
SARAH PARKE MORRISON SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
This award is available to undergraduate women who are enrolled as full-time students, have financial need and are first-generation college students (meaning neither parent graduated from a college or university). Scholarship amounts range between $500 and $1,000.
