Introduction to Interface Design: Control Model
The control model for managing projects places one person, or a small group of people, in the position of assigning, verifying, and handing off work for every job function on a project.
This model is best suited to projects when the product is a repeat or a variation on something that has been designed before. under those circumstances, this model offers high risk management. The weakness of the model is that it may not encourage or allow innovation from anyone but the project manager.
