Classroom Assessment Techniques for Distance Education: Exam Evaluations

Descriptions

Student's view tests and examinations as critical indicators of faculty expectations; as a result, faculty can use tests and exams to direct student learning. The overriding purpose of Exam Evaluations is to provide teachers with specific student reactions to tests and exams, so that they can make the exams more effective as learning and assessment devices.

Teaching Improvement

  • better uses of available technology (effective uses)
  • uses of appropriate strategies for distance education environment
  • provide more contact with students, accessibility
  • provide information about tailoring instructional activities to meet student's needs

Improving student learning
