FEATURED BOOKS

This fall we are highlighting books that we have class sets of in our library.
Read-on for titles that students of all ages will love and enjoy.

Many Luscious Lollipops: A Book about Adjectives
Written and Illustrated by Ruth Heller

Don’t let the enticing pictures fool you; this book is more than eye candy! It’s a rhyming journey into the complex world of adjectives. Look out demonstratives! Beware possessives--Heller leaves no stone unturned! This book works best when used in pieces as a way to highlight specific attributes of adjectives. The illustrations give the rather tricky grammar concept a softer side, and encourage students to be aware of the grammar they use. Don’t bring this book to story time; it is meant to be used as a resource. To request this book, click the picture to the right.

Other equally tantalizing titles by Heller that we have in class sets are:

A Cache of Jewels and Other Collective Nouns, which explores the world of non-count nouns, and

Fantastic! Wow! And Unreal! A Book about Interjections and Conjunctions.
