To assist English language learners (ELLs) in Indiana, the Language Education Department at Indiana University's School of Education in Bloomington has established partnerships with Indiana school corporations which are experiencing a sharp increase in language-minority immigrant students. ESL coordinators and school administrators identify teacher teams within their school districts at the elementary, middle and high school levels to participate in the training. The ICP staff works collaboratively, as well, developing courses and workshops which will provide the most current and exemplary ESL practices and strategies for the teacher participants.
