Electronic Resources and
the World Wide Web

What you need to bring/know:

  • Textbooks, notebook and pen or pencil
  • Open P200 Web site
  • Log into Oncourse

  • PILOT Web site
    • Notes for workng on the PILOT site:
      1. First, click on Guest Users.
      2. Click the red next arrow going forward. (You will NOT need to download any software.)
      3. Read the Introduction. It is two pages long.
      4. At the PILOT page where you can choose subjects from 1-6. You must click on "1 identifying sources."
      5. Read through this section. Play the games and be sure to read the links on the Information Sources page.
      6. When you get to the end of identifying sources you will see two people dancing and the word Congrats.
      7. Click on the quiz link and take the quiz. NOTE: You MUST score 80% or higher in order to receive your points!! If you do not score higher than 80%, take the quiz again.
      8. You can take the quiz as many times as you like.
      9. When you have finished the quiz, take a screenshot showing your score and answer breakdown.
      10. Open Wordpad or Microsoft Word. Type your name and "PILOT Score" at the top of the page.
      11. Paste your screenshot into the document.
      12. Save it as Lastname_Firstname_PILOT.
      13. Submit the document for grading in PILOT Tutorial in Assignment 2.
  • Finish work on Chapter 1: Common Features of Office 2010 from class textbook.
  • Work on Exam 1 Study Guide.
