Writing Tools
Including citing of on-line resources

Families and Health -- HPER F656

Among the requirements for this class, you will be expected to contribute to our expanding website. For this, you will need to search the web, evaluate and identify high quality resources and then you may need to write reviews of the sites or brief essays that draw on the content of the websites. I have provided a few links that you may find useful as you write for this and other classes.

Writing Tools Style Manuals:

Most style manuals are in the process of adapting to the need to cite electronic media. The following sites provide information on this and suggest ways of citing electronic materials. Incidentally, I'm including MLA and legal citations for your information, but I want you to use APA style in the course.

If you are still unsure of how to use search engines and directories, return to Search Engines and Directories. If you are still unsure of how to evaluate websites, return to Evaluating Websites. Once you have gone through these pages, you are ready to go on to the content clusters. This link will take you to the sitemap, from which you can proceed to the clusters. Feel free to return to these pages at any point, to use them as a reference or to brush up on your knowledge and skills.
