ASSIGNMENT: For the reaction paper for this week, we'll add in an analysis
of redistricting in your state. After reading the articles
above, look
at redistricting in your Y396 state. You can get information from the
state (usually legislative) web sites as well as Lexis-Nexis search the
regional papers or capitol city paper under "redistricting" or "reapportionment."
Write a one page paper reporting on the status of redistricting
in your state; Who controlled it? Who were the winners/losers there? How do the readings illuminate or contradict what is going on in your state?
