Kevin Pfeuffer is from Raleigh, North Carolina where he attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in music in 2008. While at UNC-CH, he performed undergraduate research with Prof. Royce Murray on electrospray mass spectrometry of gold nanoparticles with regard to ligand exchange. He joined the Hieftje group in the fall of 2008 where he is working on fundamental studies of various plasma sources.
