Professor Barthelmie to feature in the IU celebration of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week
Professor Rebecca Barthelmie will speak at the IU celebration of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week at a forum to be held on Wednesday, April 13, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Kelley Graduate Center Room 2063. Professor Barthelmie worked for 15 years at the foremost European research center in Wind Energy – the Risoe National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, before being appointed the Ewart Farvis Chair of Renewable Energy at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh, and then joining the IU faculty in 2008. Professor Barthelmie, who won the European Wind Energy Academy scientific prize for her unique and innovative contributions to wind energy research in 2009, will speak on the topic of the European Wind Energy Experience and Prospects.
