Troubleshooting Information

For sites connected to Indianapolis by H.323/H.320 videoconferencing, if at any time you are disconnected or have a problem with the videoconference - call 812.856.2020 or email vicnoss@indiana.edu immediately.

In an attempt to distribute the load on IU's Video Bridge for the
Futures conferences today, Friday, and Saturday, we've set up some
alternate dialin numbers, so if you cannot connect to

If you are dialing into an ISDN or specific IP address, that information
is still valid for you.

Due to the anticipated high volume of calls to our IU Video Help Desk
telephone line, a web-based chat tool has been created for technical
coordination. We request that Futures conference participants use this
chat as their FIRST approach to report problems to us:

http://www.indiana.edu/~video/chat/

When you first enter the site, click on register new username, and enter
a username that will be meaningful to the Video help desk: (e.g.:
Steve_Indiana_University). The username may not contain spaces.You
must put an underscore between words. The password can be anything you wish.

We hope to use the chat tool as a way to communicate with individual
users as well as to post information to lots of users at the same time.
It's a bit slow in updating (it refreshes every 7 seconds), but
hopefully it will suffice for technical coordination behind the scenes.

If you have problems using the chat tool, please call Chris Golden, our
chat developer, at 317-274-9587 and he'll help you out.

For sites or individuals using RealOne Player or Media Player to pick-up the live videostream, contact Educational Technology Services at 812.856.8555. Explain that you are attempting to view the webcast of the Futures conference.
