On Saturday, November 20, 2010, Professor Portia Maultsby took her Folk-E407/E536 students to recording studio Downtown Recording and video production studio Videobred in Louisville, Kentucky.

Folk-E407/E536 Applied Ethnomusicology: Media Productions is a combined undergraduate and graduate course that examines the application of ethnomusicology and folklore training to media/multi-media projects produced for cultural institutions and commercial industries.
