Thanksgiving and a Shopping Spree

Thanksgiving was supposed to be a well deserved break that would help me recuperate my energy for the last three weeks of school. But instead of sleeping more, I ended up sleeping a lot less, and I push that blame to my friends—who not only stole my sleep time from me, but also made my Thanksgiving break a thoroughly enjoyable one!

We had a lovely feast of roast turkey and glazed ham on Thanksgiving night. The meal may not have been cooked with mother’s love or grandma’s secret recipe, but it was delicious all the same. In the company of friends, we decided to waste the night away by playing all sorts of games like Scrabble and cards, until it was time to leave for the infamous Black Friday shopping spree at 5:30 in the morning. (That’s why I had not enough sleep.)

Shopping at Edinburgh Premium Outlets was just a crazy experience. There were already tons of people packing the stores when we got there at 6:30 a.m. Everyone had only one agenda on their minds, and that was to take advantage of the early bird specials. I ended up spending almost my whole term’s allowance that day, but luckily there are only three more weeks of it!
