Best Times of My Life

I think in college you can really do anything you want. It’s incredible. I mean, there are always those kids who do really stupid things and do horribly because they don’t go to classes and just end up failing out. But when you just appreciate the fact that you can do things like go to Wendy’s at midnight just because you feel like it and don’t have to ask for permission that’s when college is really fun. Sometimes I will be with my friends doing something really random (like midnight glow-in-the-dark volleyball) that just seems so stereotypically college. I think as long as you don’t throw away the experience these really will be the best times of your life.

Next weekend a bunch of us are going to Chicago! I am excited. I have a ton of friends from church camp who live in Oak Park who I want to see, and since Vanessa and Matt live there we can stay at one of their houses. The only problem is that Justine’s mom got cancer, so I know she wants to go home and I want to be with her for as much as that as I can. But I know she wants to go to Chicago too so maybe we will just postpone the trip until she can go too.

Michael has to be Boy George for Halloween. It should be really funny. I am helping him with his costume and so far he is wearing a 1980s jacket that has paisley print on the inside and gold chains on the outside and pink pants. We also got a hat that I am going to decorate. He has to wear a ton of makeup too, which Vanessa is going to do. I think the best part is he has to wear it all day Thursday, which is just really random but will make it even funnier, I think.
