IU Northwest, first-year medical student
This fall, Sara Brummett is beginning the next stage of her education. Brummett is in her first year at the
IU School of Medicine-Northwest. The medical school is located on the IU Northwest campus. The 23-year-old will be part of the class of 2009.
Brummett is a native of Zionsville, Indiana, and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish from Xavier University. She chose IU Northwest because of its good in-state medical school, the benefits of in-state tuition, and private school-size classes at the regional centers.
During her time at IU, Brummett says she wants to become more involved during her third and fourth year of medical school when she is studying at the IU School of Medicine on the IUPUI campus. All third and fourth year students transfer to the IUPUI campus of the IU School of Medicine to complete their studies.
Her goal is to be a primary care physician in a health clinic that provides care to those most in need, and Brummett also wants to do volunteer work in other countries.
