involving search can be solved more efficiently by the use of heuristics,
how in some cases it is possible to discover heuristics automatically,
characterization of heuristics with respect to their power, etc. Tools for
knowledge representation and deduction, with emphasis on predicate calculus
and associated concepts such as resolution and unification. Planning and
design of a small-scale reasoning framework using the paradigm of logic
programming will also be covered.
