School Protocol
Fairview Elementary School
When arriving at Fairview, students should go in the door by the flag pole on 8th street. Volunteers are welcome to park in the parking lot. Although it is designated for teachers only, volunteers shouldn't worry about that (there are no parking permits...etc that would designate them or anyone as a teacher). Students should go in the door by the flag pole and then go up the stairs on their left. Then they should go in the front office and sign in. The French students will be teaching in the afterschool program located in the cafeteria. The student should go down the hallway of the office. At the end of the hallway, the volunteer can go down the stairs. Then turn to right and go down another set of stairs. At the bottom the stairs, the volunteer should turn left and go down the hall. On the left, is the cafeteria and this is where the afterschool program will take place. The student should be looking for Jeremy Brown, the coordinator for the afterschool program.
Templeton Elementary Beyond the Bell Program
1. Park in visitor parking lot closest to Woodlawn
2. Enter through front door. It should be unlocked so long as you arrive before 4:00pm
3. If office is open, sign in on visitor sign in sheet and take anametag. If office is closed - no worries.
4. Regardless of whether or not you have signed in in the office, proceed to the library where Sheri Smith (slsmith@mccsc.edu) will or eventually be. Ask her for the sign in sheet and sign in with her.
5. When you are done volunteering you are free to leave.
