About Templeton
Templeton Elementary School is located at the corner of Henderson and Hillside about a mile south of Bryan Park. Our children and families come from a variety of economic and social backgrounds. The school is ethnically diverse. Our students come from many different countries and cultures. Templeton's classrooms are done in multiage groupings (see classes link for details). These groupings offer the children the opportunity to have the same teacher and group of children for more than one year. It allows children to progress and grow without the age/grade restrictions. Children are allowed continuous progress in their learning from one year to the next. At Templeton we embrace each child and their unique gifts and talents.
Mission Statement
The Templeton Community is committed to preparing students for a successful life journey. We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment through the emphasis of lifeskills. We successfully teach basic and higher order thinking skills by investigating, evaluating and implementing effective educational practices. We embrace children by celebrating their unique gifts and talents. As lifelong learners, we are dedicated to the pursuit of the mission.
