Reading and Homework

Wednesday, 9/2 - Read over the materials in the Walker Workbook, Topic I

Wednesday, 9-9 - Be sure you have mastered the materials in Topic I. For Homework, do the short answer questions at the end of Topic I, and bring to CL if you plan on participating in CL. Also (not for homework, but for preparation), work on multiple choice questions at the end of Topic I. On each question, quiz yourself on why the correct answer is correct and what makes the other questions incorrect!

Begin to look over pages II1-II10 in the Walker Workbook. Note: In the optional reading Bade and Parkin book, Chapter 4 "corresponds" to Topic II.

Monday, 9/14 - At this point, be sure you have "read over" Topic II in the Walker Workbook. By the end of this week, you should be mastering the terminology and tools in this Topic. See Chapter 4 in Bade and Parkin for further discussion.

For Homework for CL for 9/16 and 9/20, do short answer questions 1-16 at the end of Topic II.

For Homework for CL for 9/23 and 9/27, do short answer questions 17-20 at the end of Topic II.

Prepare for Exam 1, which will concentrate on the materials reviewed in Topic I and Topic II, as we as a few brief questions from the public issues book. Begin to look over Topic III.

Monday, 10/5 - Study Topic III in the Walker Workbook.

For Homework for CL for 10/7 and 10/11, do short answer questions at the end of Topic III.

Monday, 10/12 - Be sure you have mastered the materials in Topic III in the Walker Workbook. Begin to review the applications and methods of analysis in Topic IV. Chapter 7 in the Bade and Parkin book will also cover many of the concepts discussed in Topic IV.

For Homework for CL for 10/14 and 10/18, do short answer questions at the end of Topic IV.

Monday, 10/19 - Be sure you have mastered the materials in Topic II, III, IV  in the Walker Workbook.

Wednesday, 10/21 - Study Topic V in the Walker Workbook. For Homework for CL for 10/21 and 10/25, do short answer questions at the end of Topic V.

Monday, 11/2 - Review the materials in Topic VI  in the Walker Workbook, as well as beginning to look over Topic VII.

For Homework for CL for 11/4 and 11/8, do short answer questions at the end of Topics VI and VII.

Monday, 11/9 - Review the materials in Topic VIII  in the Walker Workbook.

For Homework for CL for 11/11 and 11/15, do short answer questions at the end of Topics VIII.

Monday, 11/16 - Review the materials in Topic IX  in the Walker Workbook.

For Homework for CL for 11/18 and 11/23, do short answer questions at the end of Topics IX.
