News and Events
Keep up to date with Daraja announcements and the situation in Kenya on our blog.
In the Spring 2008 semester, Daraja Children's Project members hope to hold fundraising and educational events on campus. 100% of funds raised will be used to meet the children's needs. We especially seek to extend sustainable income generating activities that can result in increased food security in Eldoret and Burnt Forest. These activities currently include dairy farming and crop farming.
In 2007, Daraja received the Arthur R. Metz award ($5,000) to boost Daraja dairy farming initiatives in Kenya. The Arthur R. Metz Philanthropic Opportunity Fund is administered through the Indiana University Student Foundation Scholarships and Service Committee. The Metz Grants are awarded to student organizations that demonstrate a need for financial support for a philanthropic cause.
