Mission and Objectives
Mission:
The Daraja Children’s Project – Kenya (DCP) is an Indiana University student-based organization that provides a dependable bridge between donors and programs to support orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Kenya. The mission of Daraja is to help fulfill the needs of these children through fundraising efforts to support orphan caretakers’ sustainable income generating activities. Daraja also links vulnerable children with specific individuals, families, and organizations that wish to provide basic living and educational necessities for these children.
Objectives:
The DCP will:

Identify legitimate orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya

Identify committed donors and organizations

Participate in fundraising activities aimed at specific vulnerable children’s projects and programs

Link the donors to children and their care giver(s)
