Forest Description:
Mixed hardwoods 60 - 80 years old secondary growth with tulip poplar, white oak, red oak, and sugar maple as the dominant species
To the north: 10 to 15 year old secondary growth forest previously harvested using the "seed tree" method which leaves a few large, high quality mature trees to serve as seed trees
