Content:	The Chemical Abstracts database in combination with the printed CA covers the literature of chemistry and related disciplines as far back as 1907. The sources are journals, patents, technical reports, books, conference proceedings, and dissertations. In electronic format, IUB offers online campuswide access that begins with 1967. In addition, CD-ROM versions, starting with the 12th and 13th Collective Index periods (1987-91 & 1992-96), are accessible in the Chemistry Library. Free searching of structures, reactions, and chemical facts is available with SciFinder Scholar under the CAS Academic Program. The CA database can also be searched under that program at a greatly discounted cost on the STN system through other avenues offered by the IUB Libraries . Hours of access under the CAS Academic Program are restricted.
