Instructions for QuickScan: ********************************* 1. Open files Groth4.pdf (these are volume 4 - highlight Groth400001.pdf through highest # file and hit select then open) 2. Set IP (IPmenu, configure) Order matters! "halftone removal" --> add then highlight and hit configure uncheck "use region" add "rotation", configure --> counterclockwise add "crop", configure --> for odd pages: left - 7.5'' for even pages: left - 1.5'' right- 6.5'' click "ok" then go back to IP menu and click "enable during scan" 3. Move cursor among pages to right of last go to "file" menu, scan batch to file, insert pages 4. Align book on scanner with top facing left, LGL line on right side of scanner is the line-up point with text edge. Make sure left side of text lines is up wiht plastic/glass edge of scanner bed. 5. Make sure "use flat bed" is checked and click "start scanning". Then, the number after "front of sheet" will change- this is the page you are scanning. Double check this and click "continue scanning". 6. When, however, pages of odd or even #'s that you want is done, switch the crop configure and insert the odd or even pages between the others. Click "stop scanning" before scanning the next insert or they'll be out of order. (At "insert to current batch") screen, hit 'OK'. 7. Pages can be replaced by placing the cursor to the left of the bad page and using "replace pages". Remember "stop scanning" when done. Note: When starting new volume, choose naming schema. The directions for quickscan that are on reserve are very helpful. Use the root Groth# (where # is the volume followed by five digits- five # signs in schema)
