In her reply to Chuck Hauser, Carol Singer noted she searched [on STN]
MARPAT and/or REGISTRY for structures [in patents].  If currency is
important, MARPATPREV should also be considered for searching of
Markush structures in patents.  The file is linked with CAplus for
bibliographic data, so the currency in MARPATPREV for some recent
patents can be as soon as several weeks after issuance.  The following
file entry banner illustrates how a structure search in MARPATPREV on
7 Sep can retrieve patents published as recently as 8 Aug.
