There are many exciting careers in the field of gerontology, and many more exciting careers that will develop as the baby boomers swell the numbers of people over 65 around the world. Opportunities include careers in recreation, travel, medicine, law, finance, marketing, consulting, adult education, public policy, architecture, social work, counseling, and health care.
There is a great need for people to work in the field of aging. As we all live longer lives, there is a need for people who are interested in not only extending live, but improving the quality of life in the later years. Indiana University offers many programs that can be combined with a Certificate or minor in Gerontology to prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in the field of aging.
