Hi, my name is Alesha Seroczynski, Ph.D., and I am Director of Research at Madison Center, Inc. in South Bend. I noticed from the minutes that you are considering writing a grant with Rush in Chicago, and I was wondering if this might be something we could work on together instead. We provide extensive services to older adults and are, in fact, in the process of building a large geropsych facility. If someone could tell me exactly why Rush is so attractive, perhaps I can see if we might be able to meet those needs instead. This way, we could keep the research dollars in state and perhaps develop a stronger grant proposal. I would be more than willing to come to a council meeting and provide a presentation on our older adult services in order to enable you to make a more informed decision.
