Spatial Learning

The area of spatial learning has become an important area for integrating associative, cognitive, and niche-related mechanisms. We are interested in how to integrate contributions of cognitive processing modules, such as absolute location, short-term visit memory, environmental geometry, and time-place-event code learning with apparent niche related search mechanisms related to way finding, efficient search of an area, and
We are currently focused on the phenomenon of spatial blocking in which training with one (set) of search cues to find a particular location interferes with the learning of subsequent additional cues also providing information about the location of escape in a water maze, and food or water in an arena.
