Merger/Reorganization/Elimination Committee: Ensures adequate consultation between all relevant parties in pending matters of merger, reorganization or elimination of academic programs. The MREC also acts as an impartial forum for the resolution of disputes in cases where disagreement on academic grounds arises about the necessity for such actions among the parties involved. Members are drawn from each of the Bloomington Faculty Council electoral units and serve a two-year term with half the members elected each year.
