- Authoring Rights
- Course Title
It is possible to give associate instructors or secretaries
access and authoring rights to a course account.
These authors will have the same capabilities to view and change information
as the course instructor.
- From the
Main Menu under General
select Authors and click Proceed.
- You will see the usernames of all current course authors,
not including the instructor's username.
- Enter usernames of authors, separated by & characters.
There should be no spaces between usernames.
Note that the instructor of the course is the owner of the course
and has authoring privileges by default,
so you do not need to include the instructor's username.
- Click
Save.
You will now see the updated list of authors.
Departmental secretaries should also be aware that they may be able to
work as co-owners of departmental accounts.
To make your QuizSite account more user-friendly to students,
you can add the course title and/or the instructor's name.
- From the
Main Menu under General
select Title and click Proceed.
- Type or edit the course title.
You should generally use the official course title as listed in the schedule of courses
or the course syllabus.
Alternately, you can type a brief description of the course.
(If the title is very long, it will take up more than one line on the header.)
- Type or edit the instructor's name.
If this is a departmental account, type the name of the department instead.
- Click
Save.
You will now see the revised course title and/or instructor's name in the header.
Students will see similar information on their header when they select this course.
